Come Sing Handel’s Christmas Messiah
St James Church, Norton, Church Road, S8 8JQ Monday 13 December 7.30pm
THE CONCERT WILL GO AHEAD AS PLANNED AND WILL BE A GREAT EVENT! Please wear a face covering at all times except when singing – and when enjoying the wonderful mulled wine and mince pies! We look forward to seeing you there!
Dust off your own copy of Messiah and join us in St James Church Norton for this festive come-and-sing which always attracts a good crowd. This year the singing will focus on the choruses from the nativity and resurrection sections of Handel’s wonderful oratorio, with readings instead of arias. This jolly affair is conducted by the choir’s President Professor George Nicholson, enabling guest organist Tom Corns to work his magic on the organ. With mulled wine and mince pies in the interval, this will be an evening to remember. Bring your own score, or hire one for a small fee.
George Nicholson – Conductor
Tom Corns – Organ
Tickets £10 including mince pies and mulled wine. Under 16s accompanied by an adult FREE Tickets available on the door.
